Life at Harbor House

Take a peek and see what life looks like at Harbor House where we follow in the footsteps of Christ who said, “I came that they might have life and have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10).

At Harbor House, we consider it an honor to support the people who live here as they reach for their dreams and aspire to enjoy life with unique activities that are meaningful to each person.

What We Offer at Harbor House

We provide living spaces that…
were designed by residents and their families, personalized to the needs of the men and women we serve in homes, and that are completely accessible and welcoming for people of all abilities.

We meet the physical needs of our residents by...
collaborating with residents and their guardians to create a care plan that meets their expectations.

We meet the emotional needs of those who live here…
by focusing on a relational approach to care where our staff step into each situation with a commitment to understand and support each person.

We meet the social needs of those who live here…
by encouraging participation in activities with the Harbor House family as well as the community at large.

We meet the spiritual needs of our residents…
by giving each person at Harbor House an opportunity to create a Spiritual Plan. This plan outlines the daily spiritual practices chosen by an individual. While the people who live at Harbor House attend a variety of churches, we often worship together, too. Services are held on campus bi-weekly.

Living at Harbor House

Living at Harbor House starts when you have a conversation with your County Mental Health Case Manager to make sure that you have a need for specialized residential services and insurance funding to cover that cost.

They will then advocate for a placement for your loved one.

Once referred to Harbor House, the process continues as your family and the HHM family work together to meet the individual care goals of your loved one to enhance opportunities for growth and independence.
