Becky Buchholz

Executive Director

Becky has an extensive background in healthcare, including her role as a bachelor's prepared registered nurse specifically caring for a neurodiverse population. She is a proud graduate of Hope College, and she is currently completing her Executive MBA. Most recently, Becky has successfully led a thriving healthcare practice in West Michigan.

Becky is passionate about our mission to provide opportunities for adults with complex needs to live abundantly.

Renee Veltema

Finance Manager

Renee has a background in accounting and has been with Harbor House since it was just an idea. She has served on the board, as the Administrative Assistant, and became the Executive Director in 2013 and served in that role until February, 2020. In 2020, Renee decided that finance is the work she most enjoys. She became the Finance Manager in February of 2020.

Julie Mesman

Director of Engagement

Julie joined us in April of 2020 as a Human Resources Manager. In March of 2026 she changed roles to Director of Engagement. In her words, “I am incredibly passionate about the work Harbor House does and the individuals we serve. I’m looking forward to connecting with our donors, partners, and employees to strengthen the bonds that make our community so special. Whether I'm building relationships, organizing events, or fostering our team culture, my goal is to make everyone feel part of the growing Harbor House family."

Alicia Key

Human Resources Manager

Alicia joined us in March 2026 as our Human Resources Manager, bringing 10 years of progressive HR experience and a master's degree from Cornerstone University. She specializes in aligning HR strategy with core beliefs, ensuring every team member is empowered to support our vision. Alicia believes our mission thrives when our people do, and she is dedicated to cultivating a nurturing culture where employees feel supported and valued as vital contributors to helping others live an abundant life.

Lynden Riddering

RN, Clinical Program Director

Lynden has worked at Harbor House Ministries since 2017 as a Resident Aide and Lead Aide. Her RN experience includes working on the Neuroscience unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital and working at Community Mental Health. Her passion in her work has always been to care for those who cannot advocate for themselves, and this passion brought her back to HHM full-time in 2023 to become the Clinical Program Director.

Kerri Adamczak

Director of Day Program

Kerri has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Allied Health Sciences with a minor in Psychology and an emphasis in Speech Language Pathology. All of this prepared her well for work here at Harbor House. She started here as a Resident Aide at Pier Place in 2007 and eventually moved to Day Programming at the Cove in 2011. As the Director of Day Program, she is adept at combining therapies, activities, and fun.

Lisa Bowyer

Training and Development Manager

Lisa started at Harbor House Ministries in 2009 as a resident aide, moved into the position of Day Program Assistant in 2015, became a Mandt Instructor in 2021, and has since taken on leading various trainings to staff and volunteers.

Phil Vander Vennen

Maintenance Manager

Phil Vander Vennen has worn several hats in life. He first began working at HHM in 2005 as a Resident Aide while in college earning a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. He soon became Lead Aide, as well as Fire Safety Manager.

In 2009, Phil left HHM to serve as a medical social worker and as a Supports Coordinator for Ottawa County. He also worked in the HVAC and electric trades.

He returned to HHM in 2015 as a Maintenance Associate and now serves as the Maintenance Manager.

His compassion for others can be witnessed in all that Phil does at Harbor House Ministries and elsewhere.

Rachel Graveling

Director of Facilities

Rachel Graveling discovered Harbor House through a friend in the summer of 2007. She was hired as a Resident Aid and soon became a Lead Aid blessing the people who live here with kind and competent care.

However, in 2014, she was approached to join the facilities team. Soon, she became a Facilities Lead and then became the Director of Facilities in May of 2023.

Rachel leads her team with kind encouragement and continues to share in the life of those who live here with joy and compassion.
